Until March 2019, we have been able to offer you the opportunity to register with your Xing account at hijob. Since then it is no longer possible, because Xing has unfortunately deactivated this possibility of registration.

If you have previously registered with your Xing account on hijob, we have a simple solution for you to continue to register. On this page you can enter the email address which also use at Xing. We will then send you a link where you can set a new password so that you can log in via email and password.

Alternatively, we recommend our one-time login, which is even easier and more secure.

We at hijob love simple things. That’s why we have made it as easy as possible to register with us.

If you have forgotten your password, you can simply request a one-time login. It works like this:

1. Click here to request a one-time login
2. Enter the email address by which you’re registered at hijob and click on the „Request one-time login“ button
3. You will receive an email from us within a few seconds. This email contains a link. Click it and you are already registered. It really couldn’t be easier.

The link has a validity of 30 minutes. If you do not click within this time, you simply have to request a new link.

You’ve found a new job and you’re not looking anymore? Congratulations, we are very pleased! We still recommend you to stay registered with hijob. Because we are your career manager and can help you to plan and implement the next steps in your career in the best possible way.

The best way to do this is to change your career status. You can do this in your profile. There you will find the following box:

Here you can now choose the option that suits you most.

Tip: we recommend that you continue to accept applications from suitable companies. This way you won’t miss out on an exciting company that might be interested in you.

Would you rather do your own career planning? OK, then we will explain how you can delete your account at hijob:

1. Log in to your hijob account
2. open the top right corner of your name to open your personal menu
3. click on settings or click here
4. scroll to the bottom of the page. At the bottom left you click on the link „Delete account“.
5. confirm the following security query
6. finished

By the way, for security and data protection reasons we cannot delete your account for you, as we cannot verify in case of doubt whether the wish for deletion really comes from you. And in such a case the security of your data takes precedence. Thank you for your understanding.

But we can only work for you as good as you tell us about yourself in advance. Because if we do not know you, we cannot help you. That’s why it’s important that you fill out your profile in a meaningful way. Our owl will help you to see how well your profile is already filled. That looks like this:

If you have not yet reached 100% fill level, you will find a list of points you can add under our owl. Just click on it to complete the corresponding data.

Important: an application via hijob is only possible if your profile is at least 80% full. The reason for this is that our companies expect the meaningful profiles of suitable candidates. Poorly filled profiles do not meet this expectation, so an application is then not possible.

You have uploaded your resume and your data (e.g. your name) was recognized incorrectly?

Then you can easily change all data in your profile. Next to each entry in your profile you will find the following pen symbol:

Click on it and you can change the data.

If the suggested jobs do not suit you, it may be that we have not properly analyzed your profile or parts of your profile. Or maybe your profile is out of date or incorrect. Please check if your profile is complete and correct.

If you make changes to the profile, a new matching is performed.

We at hijob want to help you make the most of your career. Therefore we analyse your strengths and abilities and search for the best career opportunity for you – completely automatically.

We call this automatic process Matching. And our matching process works like this:

• we automatically analyze your profile at hijob. We take all information into account. This includes skills, work experience, languages, education, job level, industry knowledge and much more.
• in a second step we analyze the requirements of the jobs published on hijob.me. Because every job has different qualifications, the fulfilment of which is needed for a successful application.
• in the last step we compare, also automatically, the two previously gained insights with each other. Thereby our artificial intelligence can determine how well you fit to each job.

This result is displayed in our Match Score. Here are a few examples of how this might look in your job list:

82% Match Score: this is a good value (although it could be better). You can now apply for this job.

60% Match Score: here you already do not meet 40% of the requirements anymore. Please read the requirements carefully before you apply.

45% Match Score: we think the job does not match your current profile. If you think the score should be better, please check if all information in your profile is correct:

hijob offers you the easiest application process in the world. With just one click you can apply to the company of your choice. But what do we send with your application?

Companies appreciate your application via hijob because no cover letter is sent. We send the company your CV, which we automatically create for you. This means that even if you have uploaded your own resume, we will not send it, but a newly created one. The advantage of this is that the design has been developed together with many well-known companies and corresponds exactly to what companies want to receive from you.

We will only present you to companies anonymously. Unless we have your express permission, your name won’t appear anywhere.

If a company is interested in your profile, you will receive an application from this company. Only if you accept this application, the company will receive your complete CV including your personal data such as name, contact details, etc.

So if your employer is interested in your anonymised profile, you can simply reject their application and your employer will never know that you are registered with hijob and that you are looking into your career options.

At hijob you can apply to companies – but the companies also apply to you!

All you need is a well maintained profile at hijob – that’s all you need to do.

This is how it works in detail:

1. You will always receive an application from a company when a company places a job with hijob that you fit in particularly well.
2. In this case you will be presented to the company anonymously.
3. If the company is interested in your profile, you will receive an application from the company.
4. If you are also interested in an interview, click on the corresponding button.
5. Only then will the company receive your complete CV including your personal data such as name, contact details etc.
